Why You Should Book A Summer Senior Session - Class of 2026

TOP TEN REASONS WHY SUMMER IS THE PERFECT TIME FOR YOUR SENIOR PHOTO SESSION

For many people Fall is the time of year they think is best for Senior photo sessions.  And whilst it is an incredibly stunning and photogenic season in this neck of the woods, it is also a busy time of year of most High School Seniors.  That is why I highly recommend a Summer Senior Session instead.  Let me explain why you might want to schedule your session now:

  • Once school is back in session you will be busier than ever.  What with homework, college applications, sport practice and other extra curricular responsibilities, there will be little time in your schedule for a senior session.

  • The daylight hours are drastically shorter by October, giving us a lot less time for your session.

  • Yearbook Ad deadlines.  You will have an fabulous collection of images from your Senior Session to use in your yearbook ad, way ahead of the print deadline.  I can even design the ad for you if you would like.

  • You will have a healthy summer glow, making you feel radiant and confident.

  • The weather is perfect.  As the Fall and Winter approaches the temperature starts to drop and the weather is much less predictable.  

  • I offer a complimentary follow up session in the Spring to showcase your college choice.  We will meet for a mini session so that I can capture a number of images of you in your new college gear.

  • Sunrise and Sunsets are breathtaking at this time of year.  

  • Being able to feel comfortable wandering barefoot in a meadow, splashing about in a stream or simply posing on a picnic blanket in the preserve are all very appealing in the Summer months and allow me to capture candid images of you having fun in nature, without feeling cold or having to bundle up. 

  • Some colleges require a headshot for their application.  I can take care of that for you during your senior session.

  • The general feeling in summer is relaxed and carefree, bring that vibe into your session!

I will be in Tarrytown, NY in mid August.  I cover Westchester, NYC, NJ & CT. 

I also offer destination Senior Sessions (travel expenses extra).  My Senior Sessions are fun, relaxed, natural and my goal is to create authentic images of who you are right now.  I will guide you throughout the session to capture a variety of naturally posed and unposed images, giving your gallery a candid, relaxed look.
